I've been sat here this week quietly growing a moustache (one nanometer at a time) and also doing a bit of reflecting on this past year.

It really has been a year of change for me. When I was writing my Movember motivation message last year I was very much in midst of working a few issues.

I had a lot of speaking to do - a lot of figuring out what I wanted from my life, and what I needed to change. You might call it the quarter life crisis...

I quit a job I wasn't happy with without anything else lined up - much against the advice of a couple of folks - leaving myself in a somewhat sticky financial situation. But now I really feel like I'm working towards and for a powerful mission with my work at the moment. And it feels good!

I love Movember because it is such a catalyst for people to feel empowered to speak out about their struggles and not keep it all hidden behind a laugh and a pint glass.

But what I really feel I've learned this past year is that nothing changes without you doing anything.

You cant just wish yourself to feel better. You absolutely have to take action if you want how you feel about your life and yourself to change.

So folks. If you're struggling. Speak up, it'll be the best move you make. Talking therapy is so so powerful.

After speaking about what's going on you can then ask yourself: What can I do to help myself? What change can I make? What action can I take?

So on the theme of action, I'll be clocking up 60km of running this month!

I had intented to do a 5km and a 10km each week of Movember (nice and consistently) but I have been on me holibobs and so I have a grand total of 4.32km under my belt so far...
So if you see me doing laps of Victoria Park at 1130 on the 30th of November you know what's going on....

If anyone reading this feels like there's something missing for them, that it's all a bit much then please give me a message. I am here for you. Let's talk!

I've been in the shitter - I know how it feels. It ain't nice.

But there is always always light at the end of the tunnel. Not even the end of the tunnel, the light is all around us - it just is quite good at hiding sometimes.
