As some of you know, this Movember hits close to home — my dad is currently battling prostate cancer.
We learned this almost a year ago. If it weren’t for a PSA blood test recommended by his doctor (because of our family history), we likely wouldn’t have caught it until it was much too late.
A few facts:
• 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
• It’s the 2nd most common cancer in men after skin cancer.
• Risk doubles if a close relative has had it.
I’m raising funds to support research for better treatments and earlier detection. Any amount you can give means a lot — to my dad, and to everyone facing this disease now and in the future.
