My motivation

I'm raising funds and awareness this Movember for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. I need your help. Please donate to support men's health.

Every day we lose too many men to preventable causes. These can be physical (testicular and prostate cancer) or mental.

This year I would like to focus in particular on the mental health aspect of Movember. For too many men around the world, crying is not an option. For too many men around the world, smiling through the pain and “locking in” is seen as a viable solution to a growing pit of darkness that swallows them whole, that makes them postpone their alarm every morning by one more minute. It’s time to change that. Men’s suicide rates and depression are way too high, and part of the reason is the misconception that nobody cares, that they are not listened to, that being vulnerable makes you less of a man. It’s time to change that. It’s time to show your brothers, fathers and sons that they are allowed to be vulnerable, and that you will be there for them when they are. Support our cause to give your bros a longer, better life.

This year, I am also doing a double fundraiser with Movember and ThinkPink, to try and simultaneously tackle premature causes of death in men for the reasons mentioned above, as well as those found in women due to breast cancer.

I will keep this going until the end of December. I will perform different actions depending on the amount of funds raised across BOTH platforms, so I ask you to split your donation equally as they are both very important causes:

- 3000€: I will shave my head bald
- 6000€: I will dye my hair pink or blue for a week over the Christmas period, and then shave it bald
- 10000€: I will do the above AND get a movember tattoo.
