Our Motivation

Every six minutes, a man dies by suicide somewhere in the world. Together, we can make a difference. By donating, you can help men in crisis and save lives.

Four years ago, Gay Fathers Worldwide was founded as a peer support group on Facebook, providing a safe space for men who were previously married to women and have children. For many, it has been a lifeline, offering support as they navigate both their sexuality and mental health.

Many men in our group have, at some point, contemplated suicide, believing it would be easier to take their secret to the grave than to come out as gay. Fortunately, many sought mental health support alongside the group’s help, allowing them to embrace their true selves. This has opened the door to living a happy, fulfilling life while remaining present in their children's lives.

Recently, we proudly reached a milestone of 1,000 members across six continents. To celebrate this achievement, we are challenging our community to donate at least $10 each, with the goal of raising $10,000 for men’s mental health. We also invite friends and family to join us in making a difference.

Let’s come together to help men around the world overcome mental health struggles and give back to the communities we are all part of.
